My Biography

Music has always been a passion of mine. If I’m not playing, I’m listening; if I’m not listening, I’m creating it. I began to play the piano at the age of 4, and instantly fell in love. My grandmother played the harmonica for us, my mom has a beautiful voice, and my dad always attempted to play the electric guitar…at 6:00am on Saturdays. I chose the flute in 6th grade and have stuck with it ever since! In high school I played Synthesizer in the front ensemble my senior year and you could say that percussion is my second love/instrument. In college I followed my passion of music, and learned so much more about all of the other instruments. I played the synthesizer, piccolo, and cymbals with the UTSA Marching Band and played in a Flute Ensemble, 2 of the concert bands, and the Orchestra. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

My free time is spent reading, practicing piano, eating Whataburger, baking, listening to old records, and being outside.
